Position Title: Vice President Business Strategy

Location: Ottawa, Canada or Plano, TX  

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Business Strategy is a key leadership position responsible for developing the vision for the Ribbon Packet Optical (“PONet”) business. This role will partner with the PONet Executive Vice President & General Manager and other key Ribbon stakeholders to develop a multi-year strategy that can serve as the foundation for determining investment priorities, while simultaneously working with sales to deliver the strategic vision to target customers for the purpose of gaining alignment and establishing Ribbon as a preferred partner for PONet solutions.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, innovation and a track record of successfully owning projects with measurable impact form ideation to execution and rollout.


Responsibilities include:


• Develop and maintain a multi-year vision, winning strategy, and associated blueprint
• Partner with EVP and the PONet team to measure progress against strategic plans including financial, customer, and development program aspects of the business
• Lead cross-functional teams (through influence) in support of strategic product directions
• Evangelize strategy with sales and target customers directly
• Drive innovative ideas, solutions, and products through leadership and decisive action.
• Function as an evangelist of Ribbon’s products and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders, and/or market analysts as needed
