You’ll find a diverse range of positions, from Corporate Finance to Marketing to Innovation, but we’re all working towards the same goal. That’s to create happiness for our customers and each other. And we’re having fun doing it. We want to make our team members richer, and we don’t just mean financially. We’ve made it our priority to invest in every aspect of your personal growth.

Is #ATB101 something you want to be a part of this summer? If so, ATB Financial Transformation/Data is THE place to work and there is a unique opportunity available to help you jump start your career!

Our ATB 101 students play an integral role in the success of our business and have the opportunity to contribute greatly to our growth with challenging, rewarding and diverse opportunities – way beyond making coffee!

The Data Governance team is putting into place a new enterprise wide metadata management tool called Collibra which will help ensure ATB meets its compliance requirements, protects our customer information, and WOWs our business users.  The metadata software initiative has high visibility within ATB and is also a key component of multiple parallel initiatives including Big Data, BI, Data Science, Data Security, and Integration API development.

Reporting to the Manager, Data Governance, in this role you will be responsible for supporting the new Collibra DGC software and assisting in discovering, sourcing, transforming, loading, and linking metadata in the software.  You will also support the Collibra and other project teams by creating and enhancing process flows, documentation, attending meetings with related project teams, and other duties as required.  You will gain experience and knowledge with the latest large scale data management technologies and apply your energy and ideas to help ATB transform banking for Albertans.

No matter what you do, you will get to make a difference!

Job Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to understand and learn the Collibra software suite
  • Excitement with learning complex and massive data management systems like SAP & HANA
  • Ideally good experience with SQL, XML, Excel/Google Sheets, and MuleSoft
  • An ability to see the big picture while also sweating the details
  • A love of ‘connecting the dots’ to unveil what was previously obscure
  • A focus on establishing new integration practises and processes
  • Create smart, simple, helpful documentation
  • Ability to stand up, speak out, and identify opportunities for change
  • Eagerness to roll up your sleeves and take on (and seek out) new challenges
  • An innovative, digital and entrepreneurial growth mindset - who works well in a virtual environment
  • Collaboration magnet, connecting and collaborating with diverse groups  – people just LOVE working with you
  • Enrolment in a post-secondary college or university majoring in Business Systems Analysis, Computer Science, or Information Architecture; 2nd or 3rd year would be ideal
