Job Description


TSEC is looking to fill the part-time position of Speech-Language Pathologist.  The Speech-Language Pathologist is a supportive role that enhances the current Speech and Language programming in the TSEC member Nation schools.
- Provide ongoing training to Student Services Teachers, classroom teachers, educational assistants and other personnel in providing Speech and Language Therapy for students after their speech and language assessments have been completed. Training to cover (but not limited to):  Articulation, Phonological Awareness, Expressive Language, Receptive Language, Fluency, Voice, Pragmatics, Assistive Technology, Speech Therapy for students according to the goals outlined in their speech and language reports.
-Explain and ensure Speech Therapy done by Speech EAs follows the goals outlined in their speech and language report.
-Ensure data is being collected by Sp Ed Assts in the school during speech therapy sessions, so that progress can be tracked and periodic speech and language progress reports can be written.
-Model and mentor speech therapy for Speech EAs, provide joint speech therapy sessions with speech EAs to demonstrate therapy techniques, supervise and consult in regards to therapy techniques and strategies.
_Provide recommendations for therapy resources and activities for students on the Speech and Language program at TSEC member Nation schools.
-Assist with Student Profiles and recommend strategies in the development of students Individual Education Plans, including reporting requirements to access/maintain funding approval and programming.
-Remain in communication and collaborate with the other TSEC Speech Pathologist in regards to student goals, speech and language activities, training, etc.
-If requested, assist in conducting Speech and Language screenings for Nursery and Kindergarten students in TSEC schools with the other Speech-Language Pathologist at TSEC member Nation schools.
