Job Summary: Support brand awareness and growth


The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the coordination and execution of marketing programs and supporting national and local marketing initiatives.  He/she partners with the graphic designer and Marketing Manager to be the creative stewards of the brand.  He/she will also have to work with agencies, partners, different suppliers and internal departments to deliver the best result while respecting deadlines. He/she will recommend and execute creative assets supporting internal presentations as well as member and patient facing events. He/she will have strong attention to detail, bias for action and ability to coordinate multiple functions to execute on time with excellence. Part of the marketing shared services team, he/she will share best practices and contribute to cross-banner projects and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guardian of the brand guidelines, ensures application of visual identity standards

  • Supports and executes national and local store marketing initiatives with excellence

  • Maintains and coordinates the annual promotional calendar of activities

  • Maintains the content/branding of websites

  • Coordinates the execution of marketing portion for other department projects (eg. Pharmacy Services)

  • Oversees development of creative assets for patient facing as well as internal communications including, PowerPoint templates & Pharmacist Conference materials

  • Supports the Marketing Manager to develop and provide monthly updates on scorecards to track ROI

  • Supports the Marketing Manager to track budget

  • Supports the Marketing Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive production calendar and relationship with print, distribution and promotional item vendors

  • Work in cross functional team and supports the Marketing Manager on all needed projects

  • Ad hoc projects


  • Bachelor degree in relevant marketing, sales or communications field

  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience, preferably with some in retail and/or health care marketing

  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape in the community pharmacy space

  • Strong project management skills

  • Good budget management/invoicing skills

  • Strong Microsoft suite knowledge, especially PPT and Excel

  • Bilingual French/English is an asset
