The Global Commercial Banking group serves middle market companies with annual revenues up to $2 billion. The Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and delivering financial services and products to meet their needs. In addition to being the primary bank point of contact and key financial advisor for the relationship, the SRM is accountable for prospecting new business and retaining and deepening existing relationships. The SRM will have the ability to engage in dialogue with CEO and CFO levels regarding the client’s industry and alternative capital structures. The SRM will then assess the risks and impacts from both the client’s and the Bank’s perspective for development and implementation of an overall client strategy. The SRM is also responsible for leading, directing and coordinating key team members in analysis and execution in the effective delivery of their products and services to clients and prospects. This involves coordinating client involvement by the team's product &/or industry specialists. Ultimately the SRM is responsible for delivering the Bank.  To effectively perform this role, the SRM must be well versed in all Bank of America Merrill Lynch products and services for proper identification of cross-selling opportunities. The SRM should possess a proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships and be committed to consistently network in the community and with centers of influence.


·         10+ years of experience in Commercial or Corporate Lending

·         Undergraduate degree required: Majors in business, finance or economics preferred

·         Demonstrates an ability to build, manage, and grow an extensive portfolio of middle market clients with revenues up to $2 billion  

·         Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships

·         Proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings

·         Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of clients and industry trends

·         Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading and negotiating with a team of bank colleagues to solve client problems

·         Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis required

·         Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability

·         Experience and strong working knowledge of Capital Markets Solutions (DCM, ECM, Syndications, Lev Fin)
