We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Montreal, Quebec (CA-QC), Canada (CA).

We are looking for an experienced Java developer with a track record in building high throughput, scalable, resilient, latency sensitive and Cloud ready enterprise-grade applications to help with infrastructure and tooling renovation. We provide great opportunities to work on:

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Design and implement the messaging middleware/tooling
• Identify and implement optimizations/efficiencies in the code to reduce latency, resource usage and overall cost of hardware with specific focus on providing redundancy and eliminating point-point TCP connections
• Contribute in all phases of development lifecycle from concept, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Mentor the junior team members, lead the development work and coordinate with other teams

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of work experience with Java and distributed systems
• Strong hands-on core Java programming skills
• Hands-on knowledge in distributed system (for example, micro-service, messaging middleware and networking)
• Good communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Hands-on knowledge in Python along with interest in other programming languages is a big plus
• Knowledge in JavaScript/DevOps/Cloud computing/Big Data/Stream processing is a plus
