How effectively we understand market trends, build forecasts and manage each product's life-cycle, determines if customers get the best experience and drives profitable growth.

In your role as our Senior Inventory Planning Business Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Inventory Management system for TELUS Corporate Stores. You will work closely with the Planners to set parameters and optimise the flow of inventory through channel. You will prepare and provide analysis, tracking our key performance indicators, and provide coaching to the team to improve our business.

Here's how
  • Act as the prime interface with our Inventory Management system vendor, providing guidance on system enhancements and resolution of issues
  • Prepare and provide training to broader Purchasing & Inventory Management team on any system enhancements
  • Provide leadership and support to the Planners in design and implementation of best in class inventory management processes
  • Provide coaching and leadership to the Planner team with respect to the use of Inventory Management software and the best inventory management practices
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting for key performance indicators; drive opportunities and results from insights gained
  • Work closely with Buying & Channel teams in the development of new processes and programs that enhance our level of customer service in stores
  • Look for opportunities to develop and/or re-invent processes with the goal of improving our business metrics

  • Strong working knowledge and experience of JDA Demand & Fulfill is a requirement
  • Experience with SAP Materials Management
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of supply chain management: forecasting, planning, order replenishment strategy
  • Passion for leading and coaching team members to achieve their goals
  • Ability to forge strong partnerships throughout the organization and influence leaders and teams without direct authority
  • Passionate about delivering customer experience
  • Ability to bring together cross-functional groups and gain consensus
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in supporting/training team members without authority
  • Strong communication skills are a must
  • Ability to operate in a high pressure atmosphere
  • Willing to make and take ownership of tough decisions backed up by logic and reason
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role and/or related experience with demonstrated performance
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Excel for reporting and analysis, experience with MS Access, Tableau, Domo would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of consensus forecasting considered an asset
  • Retail or consumer electronics background is an asset
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or similar, would be an asset
