What You’ll Be Doing


You will join the CIBC’s Enterprise Data Hub team and you’ll build, implement and maintain solutions that support and enhance of the enterprise Data Lake capabilities. You will support initiatives related to ingestion into EDH as well as consumption from EDH. As a Senior Application Developer, this role requires involvement into the requirements, and hands on development process.



How You’ll Succeed
  • Programming Skills- Develop, code and test computer programs for straightforward assignments. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
  • Systems Implementation- Conduct the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Planning and Coordination- Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.

Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience in  2 years of hands-on development expertise with Cora Java or Scala as well as Python and SQL It’s an asset if you have previous experience with Hive, Oozie, HiveQL, Hive UDFs, Sqoop, Spark, Impala.
