As a Sales Engineer, this individual will be primarily responsible for working closely with the Canadian Sales Director on the development of Ribbon/ECI’s business efforts into the Canadian market space. The primary objective will be to break into the T1 Service Providers with ECI’s suite of solutions, with secondary objective to win bids and build business with the T2 & T2 Providers in the market. Future objectives may include expanding business to Utility companies, Enterprise and Data Center customers.
• Provide deep level technical assistance to the Canadian Sales Director for the targeted accounts.
• Oversee all Pre- and Post-sales efforts within the targeted accounts.
• Provides technical support in sales presentations, quotation development and product demonstrations.
• Work with the Sales Director to identify revenue opportunities within the targeted account base.
• Coordinate and proactively provide technical support to ensure that Ribbon/ECI solutions are selected.
• Develop and present product and application solutions to potential customers.
• Respond to technical questions, bids, RFQ’s, RFI's, RFP's.
• Provide high-level network architecture support and work with the Ribbon/ECI Professional Services team to validate customers architecture.
• Coordinate and lead customer lab trials and proof of concepts.
• Interface with Ribbon/ECI PLM and Marketing to review and proactively plan for customer requirements.
• Provide answers to customer enquiries concerning Ribbon/ECI product (i.e. become the customers trusted advisor).
• Interface with customers, and Ribbon/ECI engineering as issues arise, monitor bug fixes and track feature development in code releases.
• Ensure that the relationship between Ribbon/ECI and the targeted accounts is extremely strong and proactively look for ways to grow Ribbon business.
• Conduct on-going technical presentations to various organizations within the targeted accounts to uncover future opportunities and to strengthen the business relationship.
• Identify and qualify new opportunities and to win new business and grow the footprint within Canada.
