Pay Scale: $20.10 - $36.37 per hour (Commensurate with experience and consistent with the UHN Compensation Policy)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-time

University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Research Analyst II in our Clinical Research Program/Radiation Medicine Program department.

Job Summary:
The Research Analyst is an integral part of the Radiation Oncology Clinical Research Team. The primary functions of the role requires an individual who is detail-oriented and able to collect study data using a variety of different sources (ie. study charts, medical charts, other hospitals, etc.); as well as data entry, reporting and query resolution using electronic and paper data management systems. The Research Analyst must also possess strong analytical skills with high competency in data manipulation and basic analysis in excel and possibly other software. They will require strong interpersonal skills when interacting with sponsor representatives, clinicians and other staff. The Research Analyst will utilize their effective communication skills to perform relevant tasks and to disseminate information to our multidisciplinary clinical team and may also be involved in study start up activities. The Research Analyst exercises judgment and decision-making in compliance with clinical research regulations and guidelines, is well versed in Good Clinical Practice and established policies and procedures to complete well defined tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, or recognized equivalent, in a health or science-related discipline
  • At minimum, 3 years of related experience
  • Experience working with data management software preferred
  • Experience in a clinical research or clinical trials is preferred
  • Very strong computer skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • General knowledge of research principles, concepts and techniques relating to data collection and data management
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills primarily for the purposes of exchanging and/or clarifying information and resolving problems within scope of authority
  • Ability to attend to detail and produce accurate, high quality work
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
