Your role:

Radio-Canada Manitoba is looking for an Winnipeg-based reporter-editor for news stories and stories about the news from Manitoba for our French-speaking audiences. The selected candidate will demonstrate creativity, editorial judgment, a keen sense of the word and will be comfortable in front of the camera, as well as in the micro radio and the writing of texts for the web. The assignment may change, but the schedule may include weekend, early morning or late-night, rotating with other colleagues.If you have experience in journalism and want to work in a province to issues of interest to all Canadians, this work is for you.
Prepares reports and writes texts for the web, newsletters and news programs, according to the standards and policies of the Society.


We are looking for a candidate with the following: 

  • A background in journalism or a bachelor's degree with experience in journalism.
  • Experience demonstrating journalistic skills on radio, TV and in writing.
  • Strong aptitude for finding subjects.
  • Knowledge related to the issues faced by Francophones in minority linguistic communities, more specifically in Manitoba.
  • Knowledge of Manitoba, Canadian and international news.
  • Knowledge and presence on social networks in vogue.
  • Knowledge of the CBC's mandate and its journalistic policies.
  • A command of the French language (spoken and written) and a good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written).
  • A valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Skills for self-learning of new technologies.
  • Interpersonal skills, communication, and team collaboration.
  • The ability to plan, organize and coordinate your daily work to meet tight deadlines.
  • The availability to move around and work flexibly.
  • An asset such as knowledge of the production software (iNews, Avid) in use at Radio-Canada.
  • An asset such as the knowledge of the publishing software (Scoop !, Picto) in use at Radio-Canada.
