The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure, Corporate Support Branch is seeking a self-motivated, innovative and collaborative individual to facilitate in the areas of Program Review and Continuous Improvement as the Ministry's Business Improvement Coordinator.
  The successful candidate will belong to a team responsible for the Ministry's Business Improvement programs.  Responsibilities for this position include planning, facilitating, coordinating, completing, and reporting on the above initiatives. This position will have Ministry-wide oversight and will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage and ensure business improvement initiatives within the Ministry are developed, implemented and monitored through a strategic lens.
To qualify for this position, you will bring a solid understanding of and experience in implementing business improvement tools (e.g. Continuous Improvement, Program Review).  You will have knowledge of project management principles and methodologies with experience participating on large projects.  You will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record working collaboratively with a broad range of professionals.  You will be innovative and have demonstrated the ability to hold people accountable that do not necessarily report to you.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through formal education in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma etc…), project management methodologies, experience in program review and completion of an undergraduate degree in administration, business or other related discipline, with experience in facilitating workshops and giving presentations.
Some travel is required.
