Join us for a 10 week summer internship in accounting within a banking environment! Our CTS Summer Analyst Program is designed to provide high-potential rising seniors with hands-on experience to the world of accounting and banking.
Our goal is to provide you with a professionally rewarding learning experience. We are seeking high achievers who have a strong work ethic, are intellectually curious, and work well in a team-oriented environment.
Controllers and Tax Services is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, transfer pricing, tax services and associated internal controls for MUFG Union Bank and the U.S. Operations of our parent company, a top-5 global bank. CTS strives to be a valued business advisor and reliable steward of financial information that empowers MUFG to become the world’s most trusted financial group.
During your ten weeks in the CTS summer analyst program, you'll gain hands-on experience in the world of accounting and banking. You will launch your career in accounting while gaining in-depth exposure to the types of roles and responsibilities available to you in industry.
CTS Placement Groups: Internal Controls, M&A Accounting, Financial Data Solutions, Finance Systems, Financial Reporting, and Business Unit Controllers
Your path with MUFG
Step 1: CTS SUMMER ANALYST Program
You'll be assigned meaningful projects designed to build your analytical, presentation, and communication skills as well as deepen your accounting knowledge. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact with your contributions. You will receive regular feedback from your manager and will be assigned a mentor to help you navigate the organization and provide you with valuable developmental insights.
Summer analysts will be placed in one of the following groups:
- Internal Controls
- Mergers & Acquisition Accounting
- Financial Data Solutions
- Finance System Capital Reporting
- Business Unit Controllers
By the end of your experience, you'll have a much better understanding of the career paths available to you in a large global banking organization.
Step 2: Controllers rotational program
Our Summer Analyst Program is also a proven route into our Controllers Rotational Program. Top-performing summer analysts may qualify to receive a full-time Analyst job offer to join CTS after graduation. This program will provide a strong foundation in business finance and the opportunity to develop skills necessary to excel in a global financial services organization.
What we are looking for in our Intern Analysts:
- Strong academic standing
- Accounting coursework and experience; Accounting or Finance major preferred
- CPA eligibility upon graduation preferred
- Excellent verbal communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Individual initiative, intellectual curiosity, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Desire to explore a career path in banking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Enrollment at a 4-year college or university as a full-time student
