As the Product Marketing Manager for Mobile Devices you will develop, lead, and execute the go-to-market strategy and post-launch marketing programs for smartphones from OEMs such as Apple, Samsung, Google and Huawei. TELUS views smartphone launches as major marketing events that drive forward our strategic priorities and you will be at the forefront of these launches. You will build an integrated 4P marketing plan for launch and sustain periods with robust ATL and BTL marketing tactics. And, you will rally a diverse set of stakeholders to accomplish big, audacious marketing goals to establish TELUS as the destination for the latest tech.


 
Responsibilities:
  • Marketing strategy and planning (65%)
    • Lead and develop the marketing strategy for product launches
    • Jointly architect agency briefs for major launch and sustain marketing campaigns
    • Collaborate with OEMs to define value proposition and key selling points for products
    • Develop and implement post-launch marketing programs and ad-hoc projects that drive sustained awareness, consideration and purchase intent
  • Project management and execution (35%)
    • Lead go-to-market by collaborating with key stakeholders across product, marcomm, channel, customer experience and digital teams
    • Break down barriers, question norms and drive cross functional alignment on difficult problems
    • Define key success metrics for product launches, conduct post-mortems and take action to drive desired targets
    • Cultivate strong relationships with external OEMs partners to develop and implement co-marketing strategies
  • Reporting Relationship
    • You report directly to the Manager, Device Partnerships & Marketing who is supported by the Head of Product
    • You will be part of a 6 person team, but will partner with 20+ team members across other functions and numerous external partners as part of your day-to-day work

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar post-secondary degree
  • 2-5 years’ work experience
  • Deep marketing acumen throughout the marketing funnel both post and pre-launch of products
  • Strong presentation abilities and comfort interacting with all levels of the organization, as well as external business partners
