As the owner of Prepaid in retail, you will work closely with the Marketing team and with the National Retail Team to deliver growth in existing retailers and new distribution opportunities for Prepaid.

Here's how...

In this role, you will:

  • Achieve channel sales targets by proactively planning consumer programs that will align with TELUS's priorities and grow mindshare within the National Retail channel
  • Spearhead the launch of new prepaid programs within retailers by developing necessary business cases; advocating on behalf of the accounts; and leading program implementation
  • Identify and pursue new channel opportunities to grow TELUS’s share of prepaid in retail
  • Leverage analytical skills to produce regular performance updates for clients and senior leaders
  • Lead regular business discussions that include account, channel, and corporate level performance results
  • Build strong relationships with the Prepaid Marketing Team, the National Retail Team, and with cross-functional teams to support the execution of new and existing retail programs
  • Manage a budget comprised of fixed and variable investments
  • Lead discussions and negotiations on partner compensation programs

  • Strong understanding of Canadian retail industry; wireless product category knowledge is a strong asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with superior interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work proactively in an autonomous environment and maintain open feedback and upward communication to managers, directors, and Vice Presidents (VPs)
  • Strong problem identification skills and outstanding ability to use analytics to distill insights that allow you to make thoughtful, strategic recommendations
  • Strong "intrapreneur" mentality, willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and step outside your sandbox when required, coupled with a positive attitude and a strong bias for action
  • Minimum 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Sales experience with third party retailers is an asset
