We have the following opportunity at our Manufacturing facility in Alliston, located 1 hour North of Toronto.


Responsible for Leading all accounting and finance activities for Baxter's Manufacturing facility in Alliston, Ontario, Canada. Role is a key business partner to Plant Manager and Plant Leadership Team with strong connections to both the Commercial Canada organization and Americas and Global Hospital Products Manufacturing Operations organizations.

Essential Position Duties:

  • Lead the comprehensive Manufacturing Plant planning and reporting processes - quarterly forecasts, operating plan, monthly spending, and weekly estimates to plan/forecast.
  • Manage proactive weekly and monthly analysis on present performance to budget and forecast and actions & owners to recover financial misses.
  • Manage and Develop a staff of 3.
  • Provide financial modeling / business decision support on all plant investments and new business initiatives, including capital investments.
  • Manage / ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and coordinate any financial audit events.
  • Ensure compliance with Baxter's financial policies and procedures.
  • Support plant capacity reviews/analysis and VIP initiatives.
  • Lead Working Capital and Capital initiatives as required.




  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and leadership capabilities with 7 or more years of experience.
  • Experience with cost accounting and budgeting is preferred.
  • Experience with managing and developing others
  • Ability to effectively analyze and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Systems/Computer Skills: ERP software understanding/experience (JDE). Knowledge of excel, powerpoint, word and access software.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Must be competent in Business Performance Management, Financial Analysis and Decision Support.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or country equivalent).
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications with 7 or more years of experience with emphasis in cost accounting and budgeting.
