Job Responsibilities
• Accurate, timely and complete execution of payroll, independent contractor payments and accounts payable.
• Work in partnership with the Team Lead, Payments and the Payments Team to deliver on all expectations.
• Liaise with internal and external resources to ensure payroll execution.
• Work with multiple payroll schedules (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly).
• Application of all Federal Regulations.
• Application of all Provincial Regulations and Employment Standards.
• Ensure timely payment as per credit terms.
• Identify and resolve issues on invoicing.
• Research and analysis on payroll, payments and other pressing issues as they arise.
• Produce adhoc and standard reporting as directed and/or requested.
• Support and cross train on other key accounting and finance functions to provide cover and support to the whole Finance Team.
• Uphold all regulatory and legal requirements the organization is beholden to.
• Other Duties as reasonably requested from time to time.
Candidate Qualifications
• A drive to deliver a superior customer centric experience.
• Distinct problem solving abilities with great attention to detail.
• Comfortable in a changing environment.
• In-house payroll processing experience.
• Capable of dealing with large volumes of transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to balance multiple deadlines.
• Prior experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage (3+ Years’ Experience).
• An understanding of Canadian Sales Taxes.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration.
• PCP or PCM qualification.
• Experience with Great Plains would be an asset.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
