This is a temporary full-time position from May 2018 to May 2019.

This position is restricted to applicants of Aboriginal ancestry.

Over the course of the year, you will receive training and mentorship from Marketing staff as you carry out a variety of marketing support services for the Marketing Unit.  You will learn to apply knowledge of the Tourism Yukon brand guidelines to your work, coupled with knowledge of current trends, brands, and best practices. The position provides an in-Unit support for procurement, contracting, financial management and business process problem-solving.

This is an underfill position. The salary will start at $26.02/hour, and will increase over the course of the year.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Work experience, education, or involvement in marketing practices, principles, strategies, and communications. Experience in the Yukon is an asset.
  • Knowledge of procurement, contracting, and budget management/financial reconciliation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Yukon tourism industry is an asset.

Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

  • Attention to detail

Additional Information:

Conditions of Employment: Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence.

Job Requirements: Willingness to travel within and outside of Yukon, often during evenings and weekends.
