We are currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated, team player who is a strategic team leader to fill the position of Strategic Accounts Manager, Prairies Retail Chain, Grocery & SLGA. In this leadership position the successful candidate will manage a team and be responsible for the portfolio strategy of the provincial retain chain and grocery channels with the goal to deliver year over year growth in sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the strategic development and relationship of key accounts (SLGA, Retail Chains & Grocery), including meeting sales and profitability targets and making recommendations on product assortment and pricing to drive growth.
    • Develop promotional plan with each retailer to secure flyers
    • Secure new listings with retailers in each channel including BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan
  • Consult cross functionally to ensure that supplier agreement obligations are met, including forecasting required products, working with operations and supply chain to ensure fulfillment, developing ROI and costing scenarios with finance, and submitting and processing paperwork.
  • Influence sales strategy by channel and work with customers to ensure strategic alignment. Identify risk and opportunities and escalate cross functionally as required.
  • Manage profitability through monitoring budgets, discounts, rebates and terms and conditions of supplier agreements.
  • Strategic leadership of Key Account Manager and Saskatchewan field sales execution, including team development and training to execute The Arterra Way of selling to respective customers.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 8-10 years sales experience
  • Beverage Alcohol Industry experience preferred or CPG
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to strategical think and execute plan
  • High level of computer literacy. (Ability to Learn Complex Internal Software Programs)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external parties both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
