A day in the life of a Project Manager includes many exciting roles:
  • Expert in your Field: Manage medium to complex wireline and wireless projects within scope, on time and on budget utilizing waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
  • Proficient Planner & Deliverer: Collaborate with your team to plan and deliver projects while meeting business commitments ensuring delivery excellence in the Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Collaborative Communicator: Forge strong relations with Director portfolios, business partners, and Team Managers by maintaining effective written and verbal communications
  • Problem Solver & Risk Mitigator: Lead collaborative meetings on a regular basis to remove roadblocks, mitigate risks & issues, and develop action plans to manage change
  • Financial Whiz: Plan and manage project budgets in accordance with corporate financial policies and tools


Required Knowledge:

  • Intermediate knowledge of project management principles and agile delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Project and MS Office applications to produce project plans, presentations, charts, graphs, and pivot tables
  • Solid SAP knowledge including a strong application in developing and managing project capital expenditures (CAPEX) & operating expenses (OPEX) budgets
  • Knowledge of Resource Project Planner (RPP) would be an asset

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to successfully plan and deliver projects in order to meet business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross functional teams
  • Intermediate interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively to resolve problems and enable decisions
  • Ability to cultivate relationships/networks and gain and use authority naturally

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
  • Post-secondary and/or 5-7 years’ equivalent experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be strongly desired
  • Project Management/PMP courses will be considered an asset
  • Technology training/certifications will be considered an asset

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5+ years’ experience managing all phases of moderate complex projects from $1M to $5M
  • Experience using MS Project and MS Office applications
  • Agile methodology experience will be considered an asset
