The primary purpose of the Inventory Contoller is the maintenance of accurate stock at 3PL DCs and subcontracting vendors, through the timely processing of stock declarations, transactions, and reconciliation.
 

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely updates of goods receipts and all inbound stock.
  • Reconcile inventory with third party locations.
  • Refusals and returns monitoring.
  • Manage product hold and release activity.
  • Arrange transportation for all domestic plant to plant inventory movements.
  • Maintain daily capacity information.
  • Define inventory spacing planning requirements.
  • Work with all distribution centers to manage inbound/outbound activity.
  • Maintain required inventory and transportation reports and KPI’s.
  • Timely follow-up of order management activities pertaining to rush loads, receipt confirmation and planning inquiries.
  • Monitor and ensure ongoing improvements for accurate inventory and warehousing processes are in compliance with internal and external audit practices.
  • Provide alternate support for all aspects of 3PL Inventory control team.
  • Monitor and ensure inventory and warehousing processes are in compliance with internal and external audit practices.
  • IDOC Management: accountable for the handling of IDOC management within the GLOBE template. Accountable for resolution group CA_MH Messaging with service centre.
  • Communication with Customer Service, Demand/Supply Planning, Settlement, and Carrier as required.

 


Qualifications
 
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in a related field (Logistics, Supply Chain).
  • Minimum 1 year Distribution/Logistics experience.
  • Ability to establish strong “control” practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Power Point and Excel, and Outlook. SAP would be a distinct asset.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work-load.
  • Proactive self starter with strong analytical capabilities, able to use problem solving skills to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
