Job Description


- Currently enrolled or recent graduate in a Masters or PhD level program in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Sciences or other related field, and available for a 13-16 week full-time internship or placement
- Courses completed in epidemiology, surveillance, program planning & evaluation, and environmental health are an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of air quality, environmental science and/or health impacts associated with climate
change and impact of industrial/resource development projects on health.
- Knowledge of epidemiologic approaches and population health surveillance
- Knowledge and understanding of northern BC geography and issues.
- Experience reading, reviewing and referencing scientific and technical literature.
- Experience presenting scientific information to various audiences.
- Good communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment and with various stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic to learn and apply technical and scientific information.
