Agilent’s dynamic and high-achieving sales team has an entry-level sales and marketing opportunity to prepare you to transition into a career position in account/marketing management.
Through a series of customer-interfacing activities and active market studies, you will be assisting our national sales teams in developing better customer knowledge and market insights to guide future marketing activities. You will be responsible for supporting the growth of scientific instrumentation products, solutions and services to end-user customers in GC, LC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, Fluorescence, AA, ICP-OES, MP-AES and ICP-MS products in an assigned territory primarily through direct marketing activities (telesales, telemarketing) and extended market research. As a part of this exciting group, you will help us grow our multi-million dollar business and outpace market growth.
As an integral member of a sales team, you will work together with the field staff focusing on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing the existing installed base of spectroscopy customers. To this end you will be responsible for identifying what analytical instrumentation a customer has on-hand, what applications they use them for, identifying opportunities for updating or replacement and ultimately work with field representatives to implement targeted strategies. In this role, you will interpret customer needs and proactively act to fulfill those needs, actively create business opportunities through focused prospecting and represent Agilent in sales-oriented activities.
Key tasks include management of customer database tracking activities and proactively seeking out business opportunities via marketing communications or other creative business initiatives. Regular communication of deals, issues and opportunities with the relevant sales representatives will also be required. The ability to quickly learn technical scientific product information and application knowledge is essential. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are equally required for working with customers.
Are you highly-motivated, goal-oriented and enjoy taking ownership of your responsibilities? – Then we are the perfect partner.
Qualifications: Qualifications: To join our dynamic and high-achieving team, you need to be enrolled in a cooperative education program that is focused on Marketing, Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry. No prior experience is required. Our ideal candidate has interests in scientific instrumentation and strengths in sales and marketing. Your proactive approach, team spirit, initiative & eagerness to build your sales and marketing knowledge are what will ultimately drive your success. Preference will be given to bilingual applicants.
