We are immediately looking for an Immigration Coordinator to join our Immigration Law group to support on daily clerical and administrative activities.  You will be part of a busy, fast paced and ever changing environment.  We need proactive individuals who are effective communicators, have proven written and proofreading skills as well as a high attention to detail.  Your keen interest in the Immigration field is highly welcomed.

What you will do


  • Coordinate Canadian Permanent Residence (PR) files from beginning to end (such as Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program, family sponsorship applications).
  • Occasionally coordinate PR card renewal, PR Travel Document and citizenship files.
  • Research the appropriate legal documents required for the application process and prepare instruction document lists accordingly.
  • Prepare and/or review all collected forms and documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with obtaining legal documents (birth certificates, police clearances etc).
  • Manage parallel deadlines while informing applicants and employers of same.
  • Proactively follow up with applicants for documents to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Complete monthly status charts for corporate clients on a timely basis and without prompting.
  • Prepare supporting documents (letters, application forms etc.)
  • Manage and co-ordinate the legalization of documents.
  • Conduct all work within established time standards.
  • Handle a high volume of immigration-related matters.
  • Develop an informative communication stream with Senior Immigration Coordinator / lawyers.
  • Any duties assigned by the Senior Immigration Coordinator / lead lawyer.


  • Ensure that all client correspondence, documents and relevant data fields are recorded in internal database.
  • Collect invoices, annotate billing codes, and submit to Billing Team upon receipt.
  • Send files to billing once the immigration process is complete.
  • Filing, scanning and mailing/courier.
  • Any other administrative responsibilities as required.
  • At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What you bring to the role 

  •  2-3 years of immigration experience.
  • College or University degree.
  • Writing in a legal work environment an asset.

  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to locate and research information efficiently, to use it effectively, and to evaluate the quality of the information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly motivated.​
  • Ability to communicate responsibly and promote effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of immigration practices and procedures an asset.
  • Client oriented focus.Multiple language skills an asset (particularly French, German, or Mandarin speaking abilities).
