We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist of a 12 month contract with a possibility of hire for the right candidate. The HR Generalist exercises good judgment, initiative, accuracy, speed and knowledge, organizational and problem-solving skills.

The HR Generalist is required to perform a range of tasks which could include, but not limited to:

  • Initiate recruitment activities in response to approved vacancies, including; liaising with hiring managers to assess requirements, drafting of job postings, recruitment advertising, candidate pre-screenings, candidate contact, interview schedules, final selection process, reference and security checks
  • Work with local management on the conversion and creation of detailed job descriptions and terms of reference
  • Participate in Workplace Safety Investigations
  • Assist in creation of performance metrics
  • Liaise with tracking of all short-term disability claims in consultation with the HR Manager
  • Prepare company sensitive documentation while maintaining discretion
  • Leave Management
  • Assist in benefits administration enrolment applications
  • Manage Return to work program

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must have completed a HR degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 year’s experience in a HR capacity
