The Opportunity:

 

The qualified applicant must possess excellent customer service skills. The individual is responsible for maintaining the overall cleaning of the guest suites in keeping with the standards set by Minto Furnished Suites (MFS), and to the housekeeping standard of cleanliness in a timely, and thorough manner. It is also the responsibility of the Room attendant to reach and maintain the productivity level as set by MFS. Handling/ directing any guest needs, concerns and developing positive guest relations is also a responsibility of the Room Attendant. Must be prepared to work in a fast paced environment.

 

What you'll be responsible for day to day:

 

  • Interact with guest in pleasant and helpful manner

  • Handle all guest needs, concerns in a professional manner

  • Respectful of all guest personal information and privacy

  • To be Health & Safety conscious and report all safety hazards

  • Provide adequate security for guest belongings and personal information

  • Provides thorough cleaning of guest suites as per housekeeping standards of cleanliness and replenishment of amenities: sanitizing bathrooms, making beds as per established procedure, clean living room, kitchen areas and laundry room

  • Report all appliances, furniture and equipments that are not in proper working condition

  • Remove from inventory; towels, and bed linen not meeting MFS standard

  • Return all Lost and Found items to the Housekeeping office for proper storage

  • Report all maintenance deficiencies for corrective actions

  • Proper use and care for all equipments and tools used to perform duties

  • Maintain linen and storage closet in neat and tidy order

  • Assist other Room Attendants in cleaning guest suites during emergencies

  • Assist other staff when requested

  • Provide services at various locations as requested

  • Must be able to work a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts

  • Able to push, pull and lift moderate weight

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Guest Service Manager

  • Perform check out cleans and evaluate own work

  • Maintain set level of productivity

 

Who we're looking for:

 

Education: Grade 10 minimum; Customer Service Training would be an asset

 

Experience:

  • English Language: Knowledge of the meaning, spelling, and use of the English language

  • Previous cleaning experience would be an asset

 

Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision

  • Team oriented

  • Interact with guest in pleasant and helpful manner

  • Handle all guest needs, concerns in a professional manner

  • Develop positive relations with guests

  • Able to adapt to changing demands

  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail

  • An energetic personality

  • Must meet grooming standards

  • Able to interact with a wide range of people and personality

  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs

  • Position requires significant walking, standing, bending, climbing and lifting

  • Must be flexible to working weekends
