Position Summary

We are seeking a junior to intermediate level Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant who will be responsible for carrying out various marketing-related duties including work on projects from planning to execution assigned by the Marketing Manager. This role tackles a broad range of tasks focused on content development from email campaigns to social media posts to blogs to maintaining various marketing and sales collateral. This role requires excellent writing and graphics skills to deliver quality results.

Typical Duties, Activities, Responsibilities

  • Assist in email campaigns (ie. compiling email list, draft emails, and send out)
  • Managing marketing database (make sure contacts are entered correctly and kept up-to-date)
  • Ability to generate reports to track results of marketing activities, including SEO and Campaign reports
  • Inventory management of tradeshow materials
  • Assist in the execution of trade show activities (ie. helping with getting marketing collateral printed from commercial printing companies, load marketing collateral onto branded USB drives, proofreading)
  • Assist in the development of social media/digital content
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the marketing team (ie. research, sourcing quotes from vendors, keep Marketing Calendar updated)
  • Make sure company's online profiles/directories are up to date
  • Track LMI's presence online / in publications and investigate on editorial opportunities
  • Maintain quality control on all documents, through diligent proofreading
  • Update marketing materials using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or PhotoShop
  • Other general Marketing Department projects as required
  • Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual

Education and Qualifications

  • Business degree or diploma in Marketing or related field
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience in high-tech industry would be an asset
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Ability to work individually and on self-driven projects
  • Handle the pressure to meet multiple project deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to take initiative
