Program Overview
The Graduate Student Analyst Program at Union Bank has a reputation for providing college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and bank employees.

We are looking for individuals who will help drive our business lines forward with the potential for career growth into a full-time role after graduation.
 
This position will provide an excellent opportunity for students to gain exposure within various professional areas of Financial Services at the bank. The team, to which the student is chosen, will assign several responsibilities and projects relevant to the group and department needs.
 
Position Overview
This Student Internship is targeted at first- or second-year graduate level students. This is a long-term (one year) internship in the Union Bank Community Development Finance Group located in the Century City office. We are seeking someone to work the internship on a full time basis throughout the summer, and a part-time basis throughout the school year. The intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating the financial information of public and private real estate companies

  • Reviewing property cash flows, valuations, projections, and market conditions that will affect real estate credits

  • Assessing regional and national economics, market conditions and how they may affect customers and prospects

Requirements
We are seeking someone with a sincere interest in a career in Community Development Finance. Additionally, the right candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to evaluate the financial information of public and private real estate companies

  • Experience evaluating property cash flows, valuations, projections, and market conditions that will affect real estate credits

  • Ability to assess regional and national economics, market conditions and how they may affect customers and prospects

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Graduate student in a qualified Master's Program preferred

  • Excellent organization, time management and attention-to-detail abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

  • Previous intern or work experience in Commercial Real Estate is a plus
