Customer Service (Import/Export)

We are looking for a Customer Service Ocean Agent to join our global shipping client. Applicants MUST have experience working for a direct shipping/freight forwarding company.
This position will be remote.
Pay: $21-$24/hr
Contract: 12 months
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Criminal background clearance required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to customers via phone, email and Salesforce
  • Respond to product, service and problem resolution inquiries booking import and export cargo via phone, e-booking and EDI
  • Process customers' booking and cargo information accurately
  • Coordinate guarantees and facilitate overweight cargo handling
  • Track, trace, troubleshoot and maintain and update customer information
  • Monitor and facilitate Bill of Lading changes
  • Ensure all data is entered correctly in the appropriate systems in a timely manner
  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a direct shipping/transportation company
  • Post Secondary or equivalent
  • Customer service experience in fast paced office environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build good working relationships with internal and external
  • Strong problem solving skills and sense of urgency
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
