Position Summary

We are presently looking for a new Permanent Full Time Clinical Dietitian team member to join our Nutrition Services Department at Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks.
This position is a key part of our multidisciplinary health care team at Boundary Hospital and the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for acute care, out-patients, diabetes and chronic disease management, and long term care. You will provide nutritional care and support to individuals, patients and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures.
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Clinical Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
This is a permanent full time position. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30.
Grand Forks is nestled in the Kootenay Boundary region of Southern BC and offers beautiful scenery, outdoor activities, lakes and mountains. We have access to some of the best ski resorts in the Kootenay Boundary, including Red Mountain, Whitewater and Phoenix Resorts. For all your urban needs, the interior city of Kelowna is only 200 kilometers away.


Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
Two year’s of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience suitable to the facility or program is required. 
Practice specific requirements and experience in programs applicable to practice area such as: Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
Valid BC Driver’s License.
