Let’s Get Down To Business

Hands-On Functions

  • Be involved in all aspects of Non-Functional testing including gathering non-functional requirements, creating test scripts in Jmeter, test execution and reporting
  • Create Performance Testing Strategy, Workload and Schedule

  • Testing RESTful API’s, Mobile App’s and Web Applications

  • Integrate tests into the make/build process for continuous integration efficiency gains using frameworks such as Jenkins/Bamboo.

  • Communicate test results and highlight any potential quality risks.

  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Zephyr, Test Rail, HP ALM.

  • Experience with database development concepts and SQL

  • Review and keep track of testing deliverables, update the project team on status and provide detailed analyses when required

  • Participate in sprint planning and scrum stand-up meetings

  • Design, develop, execute automation scripts using Protractor, Selenium, Appium, SoapUI, Postman and analyze automation test results.

  • Define test data requirements for performance tests, provision test data and define processes for maintaining test data

  • Update Virtual/Mock service template responses to support new test scenarios
  • Assist other quality assurance analysts/engineers in performance testing activities


Job Knowledge

Candidate is expected to have the following knowledge, skills, or abilities:

  • 4+ years of experience in performance engineering and/or performance testing

  • The preferred candidate should have a solid understanding of performance testing within large enterprise projects and in depth knowledge of testing industry best practices, processes and supporting tools

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in leading performance testing for complex, high-volume, business-critical applications. 

  • Strong knowledge of automated test methodologies is an asset, including automated test script development, automated test tool/utility development, and participation in establishment of an automated testing framework.

  • Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and product testing objectives.

  • Strong experience developing automation frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge of multiple software development methodologies including Agile.

  • Expertise in defect tracking tools such as Atlassian JIRA.

  • In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices.

  • Client/Server and Web/Internet application testing experience.

  • Knowledge of Behaviour-driven development (BDD) framework tools like Gherkins, Appium and Cucumber will be a plus.

  • Experience working in a continuous integration or continuous delivery environment using Jenkins, SVN/ GIT or equivalent tools.

  • Banking industry experience is a plus.

  • Product testing experience is a plus.
