Bilingual Disability Calculation Analyst 

Dates: Oct. 08/18 – Oct. 07/19

Hours: (Mon – Fri) 9:00am – 5:00pm  

Pay Rate: $21.50/hour +4% vacation pay  

Location: Halifax B3L 4G6

SISIP Services is looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to join their Disability team as a Calculation Analyst on a regular full time basis. The position is bilingual required. The Calculation Analyst position encompasses a variety of tasks that are vital to the management of our claimants' files.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Long Term Disability claim approvals
  • Benefit Adjustments and follow up on overpayment of benefits.
  • Financial duties such as stop payments, voids, refund deposits, Garnishments, calculating employment earnings offsets and processing TD1s.

 As the preferred candidate, you will possess:

  • ************Bilingualism is required. ***********
  • Post-secondary education in Commerce, Finance or Accounting would be a strong asset
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology would be an asset
  • Experience with accounting, finance, payroll, bookkeeping, benefit payment or related duties
  • 2 years previous experience in an administrative/clerical role would be an asset however University / College graduates would also be considered
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook / Office 365
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Solid office administration skills would be an asset
  • Strong customer service experience in a demanding environment would be an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Analytical skills with a close attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Deadline driven
