Reporting to the Key Account Manager at A. Lassonde Inc. the Account Manager will support the Loblaw/SDM portfolio and implement the A. Lassonde category strategies and tactics of the Loblaw business units, which includes a working knowledge of National and Private brand products and activities.

The Account Manager will be responsible for implementing joint value business strategic plans that align A. Lassonde’s category strategies with Loblaw’s category plans.

Key Activities:

  • Deliver against Business Plan targets on National and Private Brands;
  • Working with the KAM to Develop joint business plans with key account reflecting Brand and Category objectives;
  • Help execute effectively all National, preferred or exclusivity agreements, new product listings, distribution, pricing and promotions, trade and marketing investment, deductions;
  • Manage forecasting accurately representing trade spent and tonnage by brand size group in timely and compliant manner;
  • Prepare deal and costing sheets – per A. Lassonde Inc. policy and process requirements;
  • Understanding and leveraging category management analytics to increase sales, bringing value to the client by growing their categories on both sales and profit by identifying development opportunities.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 2-5 years’ experience
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills;
  • University degree - B. Com in Business/Marketing and/or Finance;
  • Related Sales Management experience (experience with databases like Nielsen or account specific POS Data tools would be considered an asset);
  • Strong business and financial acumen and business development capabilities;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information, identify issues and their causes; use good judgment in making decisions to resolve issues;
  • Excellent communication and computer skills;
  • Able to forge strong relationships.
